Curioser and Curioser. I recently discovered a secret pocket of the North Coast that drew me into a bizarre journey. Or was it a dream? I emerged venus-like from a bromeliad, explored a kale forest, sat on an edible toadstool, met a giant metal fly and was told cosmic secrets by a balinese spirit.

THE BAREFOOT CAMINO

It's is a long time since I've had a big adventure. Conscious of my carbon footprint of course. But i have the chance to feel the earth of northern Spain under my feet when i walk the Camino de Santiago in June. I'm joining some wild sisters from Northern New South Wales who 'Sing the Camino'. Not singing while we walk, but singing workshops every night and some Spanish musicians too along the way. A great way to live simply and run wild.

MEDIA EXPOSURE

Recent news that the UK Sun has scrapped its Page 3 topless girls reminds me of my own story of media exposure.
when Colors magazine wanted to do a feature on me in their Toys edition some years back, I didn't expect to be photographed nude.
But as I was used to going naked, I was happy to be seen in my natural state. So here I am, with my anti-Barbie credentials on view for all to see.

Getting political

Back from my solstice celebrations and ready for some political activism to save the planet. I've been out doorknocking for the Greens because there is a state election coming up.

Couldn't find any actual doors to knock on, but got a great response.

The Greens don't want fracking gas fields in our beautiful part of the world.

Why have fracking anywhere when we could be developing clean renewable energy? It's just common sense.

feral politics

At the end of the year in politics, people have been telling Tony Abbott that he's gone feral and he accused Labor of being feral.

As I am proudly feral myself, I posted on facebook that perhaps if they're going feral in Canberra, I should also stand for office, being fully qualified in the feralness department.

What a great response I've had! So I think I'll pursue this.  It will be fun putting together a policy platform. and I've already found the perfect campaign vehicle.
